Musical Director

Ben studied Music at Oxford University and Piano Accompaniment at the Royal Academy of Music.

As a musical director in theatre, his credits include Billy The Kid (National Youth Music Theatre 2017), Em (Royal Central School of Speech & Drama), Aladdin (Lyric Hammersmith 2016), The Entertainer (On Stage MD: Kenneth Branagh season at Garrick Theatre 2016), Bugsy Malone (Associate Musical Director: Lyric Hammersmith 2015 & 16), Laila the Musical (Watford Palace Theatre/UK tour), Cinderella (Lyric Hammersmith, 2015), The King (Peter Schaufuss Balletten/European Tour), Sweeney Todd (Twickenham Theatre), Brass (NYMT/City Varieties, Leeds), The Beautiful Game (Union Theatre). As associate/assistant MD: Bugsy Malone (Lyric Hammersmith), Little Shop of Horrors (Manchester Royal Exchange). As a keyboard player: Jersey Boys (Piccadilly Theatre, dep), The Bodyguard (UK Tour, dep).

Television credits include: The One Show (BBC1), You've Been a Lovely Audience (BBC4), Our Gay Wedding: The Musical (Channel 4).

Ben spent the academic year 2013‑14 as Associate Musical Director at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, with support from the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation. He retains a strong teaching profile, at LAMDA, Arts Educational Schools and the NYMT.
